Thank you all so much , yes these old bones did hurt especially the last couple miles but well worth the temporary pain and also got very wet & cold but dry and warm again now with the aches subsiding ready for a quick 5k run in the park this weekend (crazy or what)
So proud of my family and friends for raising these huge amount , special thanks to my mate Sam whom collected from my old work place friends and colleagues at Aspire on my behalf .
I will be hanging the trainers up now well the ones I wore for Bath anyway as finding the half marathons an effort these days as I did with the full marathons many years ago.
Will have to concentrate on the local 10k and 5 k events instead now as the knees are not that impressed with any great distances anymore .
THANK YOU ALL AGAIN FOR YOUR GENEROSITY
This page remains open for a while longer for any stragglers still wishing to donate to a good cause
