Beesands to Beesands coastal marathon challenge

I am running a half Marathon in the Beesands coastal run on 2nd February 2019 in aid on Home-Start South Leicestershire.

The charity helps local South Leicestershire families facing disadvantage and difficulties across a range of issues, especially those with very young children, to help give children the best start in life and help families overcome the barriers they face.

My reason for wanting to raise funds for Home-Start is that since becoming a mother to four children nearly 18 years ago myself, I fully appreciate how difficult it is for families who, through no fault of their own but due to circumstances they find themselves in, are completely unable to cope with the day to day running of their family lives. As a volunteer with Home-Start for the last 4 years, I have had an insight into how important the charity is to these families. If I can help to raise any amount of money I know it’s going to make a real difference.
