Bessie Sails the Eddystone for Horizons PlymouthA fundraising project by Andrew Eccleston
On Saturday 17 June 2017 'Bessie' will be taking part in the Eddystone Charity Pursuit.
The crew will be Andrew Eccleston, together with some of our volunteers and young people who sail with Horizons Children's Sailing Charity.
Horizons helps disadvantaged and disabled children from the inner city communities of Plymouth.
We do this by providing learning and educational opportunities that increase self-confidence and improve social and practical skills, through water-based activities that would normally be beyond the means of these children.
Every year we run over 3,000 individual sessions involving hundreds of young people aged 8 to 19 – and everyone is welcome!
To keep our children safe on the water we have to have the best equipment and staff. We need your support to keep doing this important work.
Last year we raised £741 for Horizons. With your help we can improve on this in 2017!

'Bessie' is a Dufour 36 Classic and we will sail out to the Eddystone Light from Plymouth, and back again. It's about 26 miles.
