Bethan's 25 miles for Meals

DONE! She did it. It rained most of the way round and both of us had punctures but we made it in the end! Thank you to everyone who gave and supported Bethan, it really kept her going when her legs wanted to give up!
We’ve posted a photo at the bottom to show you us at the end and she loves her Meals medal! :)

LAST MINUTE UPDATE - due to poor weather forecast for Saturday 27 July we have chosen to delay this till Sunday 28 July and are hoping for the rain to hold off!

Update: Bethan initially wanted to raise £100 but after just the first night your generosity meant we needed to up this! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated already. How exciting!

One in four children in Milton Keynes live in poverty. The reality of this is that there are thousands of children each day who arrive at school already hungry and leave at the end of the day knowing that they’ll go without an evening meal.

Meals boxes – packed with a recipe card and all the ingredients needed to make a yummy meal for four – are stored in schools across the city, ready to be provided (for free) to the most vulnerable families in Milton Keynes. Whenever a member of staff learns that a child is hungry or doesn’t not have enough food at home they can invite a family to choose a Meals Box to take home and prepare to enjoy that night. Meals are healthy and child-friendly, easy to make and tasty to eat.

To help more families go to bed with full tummies, Bethan will be cycling (with her Dad) 25 miles around Milton Keynes on 27 July. It's a route that encompasses almost the whole of MK and will be a challenge to complete!
