At the end of August I will once again take on a massive challenge aiming to raise funds to support the work of BCT Aspire in 2018 which includes running 5 youth sessions every week and my passion. After completing walks over 1000's of miles, runs over a 100 miles I had to find a new way to test myself, which has become running without any shoes on. Taking on the epic Wainrights Coast to Coast that is 190 mile of fells, mountain, moor and trail, which is not exactly easy on the feet. I will do it non-stop and truly barefoot. It's very much about finding the money to continue building a long term programme for local kids. But even more importantly backing up everything I say each week to the guys. That anything is possible with hard work, passion and at times resilience. As a student at Durham Uni in Psychology I will also look into what tricks I can use. I have also just had the most amazing response from some of the young people themselves, with Chloe Bell one of our Dofe group organising a 192 mile cycle on exercise bikes to match my own distance along with other members of the group. Please check out her page and support Chloe and the gang too: https://localgiving.org/fundraising/bctbikerace/ To find out more about my own reasons for the challenge please checkout his fundraising video at https://youtu.be/kV8G_E_udMM Could you commit to a pound a month - Paul is asking his friends, family and supporters if they may consider setting a very small standing order for even just a pound to help make BCT Aspire truly sustainable. BCT Relay We are looking for friends, family, young people of BCT Aspire to get involved by joining Paul for a leg of their own and supporting in the fundraising efforts. Or maybe you can come up with your own fundraising idea. So far, we have young people taking on a sponsored sports fest, runs, walks and possibly their very own comedy night. If interested in supporting in any way please contact info@bctaspire.org.uk
Congratulations and good luck to you and your charity in the future.
