Buckinghamshire Youth Bank is a grant-making panel, run by young people, for young people. We give grants to local groups of young people or individuals aged 13-19 for projects that will benefit young people in Buckinghamshire. Funding can be for new projects the young people want to start or existing projects they want to develop. Funded projects include: dance, drama, music workshops, community safety, volunteering, drugs awareness, independent living, and special music events. We raise our own money to fund youth projects and activities and the Almighty Abseil will be our largest fundraising activity of 2013.
In addition to grant-making, Youth Bank builds young people's self-esteem and confidence and gives them valuable skills in teamwork, decision-making, problem-solving, interview skills and more.
Youth Bank is supported as a project through Bucks Community Foundation, registered charity number: 1073861. All monies raised through this event will go to Youth Bank to support community youth projects across Buckinghamshire.
