On Saturday 7th September 2013 at 3pm I will be abseiling down the County Hall building, the tallest building in aylesbury at 200ft.
Funds are being raised for Youth Bank.
Youth Bank is a grant making panel for groups of young people or individuals aged 13-19. Funding can be for new projects the young people want to start or existing projects they want to develop. All of the decisions are made by and for young people.
Through the Youth Bank young people can receive funding for projects that benefit their youth group or organisation, & ultimately the community around them. Grants can also be made to support individual young people for training that will benefit other young people & their local community. The money could go towards a variety of things including building relationships between groups of young people from different ethnic communities, drug awareness projects & community safety projects.
Youth Bank enables young people to have a say about what goes on in their community. By supporting young people's involvement in the decision making processes that affect their lives we ensure that young people's voices are heard.
My aim is to raise a minimum of £150 in order to participate in this abseil.
