10 years of Leeds Spiders! Heres to the Next 10

My name is Joshua Gardner and I have been involved with Spider-Y since the age of 11 when I joined Leeds Spiders Wheelchair Basketball Club. Now I am 21 and can definitely say this charity has changed my life for the better! I have: Played Wheelchair Basketball in the highest league in the UK Played in the 2013 Wheelchair Rugby League World Cup Earned my coaching badges in Wheelchair Basketball Coached wheelchair sports sessions in schools, businesses and even prisons around Yorkshire. Now 10 years on I want other to start the journey I did and be involved with such an amazing world..... the world of wheelchair sports. My aim is to help Spider-Y help more people with disabilities fall in love with wheelchair sports. The only way we can do that is by raising funds to do these things: Put posters in Leeds hospitals promoting wheelchair sports and activities. Have open training sessions for first-time participants in the sport. Promote the sports online and on social media. Sending posters to schools around Leeds and West Yorkshire to let disabled young people know about Spider-Y. All of these things are easily done but donations are needed to achieve this. Please if you can't donate, please share this on social media and if you do know a family member or friend who has a disability see if they have thought about getting involved in wheelchair sports. All I hear from new participants is I wish I knew about Spider-Y sooner... let's make that happen sooner rather than later. I want to raise £100 for every year Spider-Y has helped me.
