Duncan's 3 Race Running Challange for Moorvision
To help raise money for Moorvision, a wonderful local charity that has helped our family adapt to our sons visual impairment, I have entered three different running events over three months in summer:
- PureTRAIL's "Tsunami 16, a 16-mile coastal trail race (22nd June)Asics London 10k race (21st July) PureTRAIL's "The Crossing", a 36-mile trail race across Dartmoor (24th August)
Our son, who is now 10 years old, was born with a visual impairment called Nystagmus (involuntary back and forth wobble/movement of the eyes). This causes him difficulty see in school and doing some sports, and together with his glue ear hearing impairment it often means he is working much harder to concentrate than other children which affects his concentration and tiredness.
Great challenge you are embracing here. Your sons shall be proud. Good luck for the next stages
