May 100
The coronavirus pandemic has seen a surge for Flamingo Chicks but at a time where the traditional fundraising has either stopped or become very limited. Even in 'normal times' 65% of families with disabled children report feeling isolated and Covid-19 is taking a huge toll. Flamingo Chicks' new virtual classes have been a great success with 20,000 views, offering families a life-line and making them feel part of a community again. Flamingo Chicks need to be there for families now more than ever!
Why they need our service
Flamingo Chicks want 100 people to join them this May in doing something active, to help support Flamingo Chicks to keep disabled children dancing during lockdown! Map out a flamingo shaped running route, cycle 100 miles over the month of May, dance for 100 seconds a day or scale 100 stairs! Creativity is encouraged! Share your challenge and progress on social media using #may100 .
Plan and expected results
Thanks to your support they can continue to produce new, weekly virtual classes along with support for parents and carers of disabled kids, supporting families through these tricky times. THANK YOU!
