About

Marking 35 years of LEAH and over 30 years of Freda's commitment To mark LEAH's 35th anniversary year in 2017, we launched the Freda Lambert Appeal to recognise trustee Freda Lambert, who served on the LEAH Board for over 30 years, 22 as Chair. Under Freda’s leadership, LEAH has become a success story, gaining national recognition, and we wanted to pay tribute to her contribution. We were hugely saddened that in December 2017, shortly after we launched the appeal, Freda passed away. We have renamed the appeal the Freda Lambert Memorial Fund in her honour and memory. Donations to the Freda Lambert Memorial Fund will go towards training new volunteer tutors, continuing the work which Freda valued and drove forward.
