The aim of this project is to provide wilderness areas in which the community can be involved, as volunteers or visitors. We aim to provide a place where scientific studies can be carried out and offer an opportunity for people to develop their knowledge of wildlife. Due to British wildlife de-clining, this project is important in encouraging members of the community to look after our wild-life. Community – provide the opportunity for the community to work together in a project through volunteering and support. Scientific - provide a place for studies and projects to take place, as well as gain experience in a professional scientific manner and develop new skills. Activities - deliver a variety of courses, projects and activity days such as wildlife trails and build-ing habitats. Results – to collect results and create databases, on subjects such as endangered animals and species/ habitat density in the area which can be provided to support local and vital conservation projects Why is this important to young people? A number of young people living in Harwich and the surrounding areas would like to start a career in the animal, wildlife and conservation industry but struggle to find work experience, let alone paid jobs. By doing these projects it allows them to gain experience in different fields that they can later use when applying for jobs. The members do a number of fundraising events such as Halloween open days ,Christmas open days , wildlife theory nights, debate nights and much more
