Bala2Belvoir - Fundraising The Tomorrow Project
As a lot of you are aware, nearly 2 years ago I lost a very dear friend to suicide. Not only was this such a tragic event, but the pain and loss it leaves behind is something you can never truly comprehend unless you've been in that unfortunate situation too. Could it have been avoided, who knows? This is where the Tomorrow Project comes in. Set up by Harmless, The Tomorrow Project provide crisis services in the community to people at risk of suicide and support to families and communities who are bereaved by suicide. As a charity, this then relies on donations, which is where we as a group come in. With this motley crew, we are pushing our boundaries to raise much needed funds. This is the itinerary... Thursday 20th September 1, 3 or 5k swim in Lake Bala followed by 60 hilly bike miles to Wilderhope Friday 21st September 90 bike miles back to East Leake 12:00pm Saturday 22nd - 12pm Sunday 23rd the team will then reassemble at Belvoir Castle and take on the Equinox. Teams of up to 8 running 10k loops over 24hrs. https://www.equinox24.co.uk So a 1k swim, 150 miles on the bike and then 30-40k of running for me. I think I will know about it after. Please donate to a very worthy cause, any little bits are greatly appreciated.
