On Saturday May 19th I will not be watching the Royal Wedding.. but doing a 12 mile walk to raise funds for Settle Community and Business Hub. The CRO Challenge is a big fundraiser for our local Cave Rescue team. Walkers or runners can do a 12 or 26 mile route and either raise funds for them or pay an entry fee and raise money for other good causes which is what I am doing. More info about the CRO Challenge can be found here if you want to do it yourself. https://crochallenge.wordpress.com/ The money raised from my walk will go towards supporting two of the hub's community projects - Settle Timebank which is a skill swap scheme and their fortnightly community lunches. Both help create connections and friendships and provide a lifeline to many local residents who have become isolated for a range of reasons. Update - it was a very hot and sunny day on Saturday but I did complete the walk..albeit slowly! Thanks to Sarah Wiltshire for walking it with me. I will post some pictures on Facebook and twitter of the fantastic views.
Well done for completing the Challenge.
