That's what most of my friends tell me, I probably am but what an opportunity! I must confess that I had not heard of Youth Bank before the Abseil was announced but discovered that one of my young cousins has been involved, below is George's account of how Youth Bank has benefited him and the Community and I hope you'll agree it's a very worthy cause, so please, if you are able, help me raise as much money as possible.....and then come and watch me on September 7th!
"Youth Bank was a great opportunity to make a real impact on the community, it allowed me to get involved in a vast range of projects. We have had application for everything from AstroTurf's for Pitstone and Ivinghoe Football Club, Money so a Tae Kwon Do team could go off and compete in competition to Music Groups who need money just to get there projects of the ground. Youth Bank helps out such a broad spectrum of people that most young people in Aylesbury Vale have been positively impacted on by a grant from youth bank at some stage.
It has also allowed me to grow individually allowing me to work better in teams and think more laterally about the process in which to go about something. It helped me to improve my ability to analyse something as we get through Dozens of Application a year and we only want to give money to ones that will have a genuine impact on the Community and are also sustainable in the long term so they don't become dependent on aid.
