To raise funds for youth bank of course!
As a Road Safety Officer I am very risk aware and employ sound judgement most of the time, but when the opportunity to abseil down the side of County Hall came up I jumped at the chance!!
I haven’t always been so safety conscious as some of my friends from the 70’s and 80’s will testify to, but recently I have missed out on my ‘thrills’ so what better way to rekindle them than by doing this challenge!
If you feel you can help me AND a worthy cause by sponsoring me to abseil down the side of County Hall (200ft) on Saturday 7th September, then that would great.
Bucks Youth Bank is a grant-making panel for young people's projects that benefit the community. They give grants to local groups of young people or individuals aged 13-19. Funding can be for new projects or existing projects they want to develop
These projects include: dance, drama, music workshops, community safety, volunteering, drugs awareness, independent living, and special music events.
They also regularly do fundraising events and activities to add to the funds – hence this abseil challenge.
