Keep on Running with Wes and JC! 

True Grit Wrestling champion Nsereko (Wes) and True Grit Wrestling owner James Carr (JC) will be doing the David Goggins 4*4*48 challenge on the May bank holiday weekend (Friday 30th April to Sunday 2nd May). The challenge is running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours (so a 48 mile run in 2 days!). Pretty crazy, but something we're excited about trying!

The charity we're running for is Leeds Women Aid. It's awful to think that anyone has been stuck in abusive domestic situations during lockdowns this year. We hope you agree this is a hugely worthwhile cause that we feel hasn't had a great amount of publicity over the last year. Hopefully this can raise funds and a bit of awareness for them.

To give a bit more background on us, Wes had knee surgery in 2016 and JC had hip surgery in 2019. Both very serious surgeries and put a huge question mark on any physical activity - especially long distance running! This will be a real personal achievement for the both of us and we're glad we can use that to do something good too for our chosen charity too. 

We will be recording videos as we go along and posting them on the True Grit Wrestling Facebook group. Please like, comment, share etc on the weekend of the event.
