Ollie's Essex Way Walk for Thames Chase Trust 2020
Thames Chase Trust (Charity number: 1115627) is celebrating 30 years during 2020 and as part of securing the future of the Community Forest and the important conservation work carried out in south Essex and parts of east London I wanted to help raise some funds through a personal challenge.
I've always wanted to walk the complete Essex Way (81 miles / 130 km) and finish with an extra section (approximately an extra 20 miles) to take me from Epping to the Thames Chase Forest Centre at Upminister.
The walk will take place between Wednesday 15 April to Sunday 19 April.
Please help support access for people to forests and the environment on the doorstep of our capital city and developing a landscape with inter-connected habitats for wildlife to thrive in urban areas of Essex.
I also hope to raise awareness about litter along the route by looking to carry out a number of targeted litter picks.

The walk will take place between these dates and locations: Wednesday 15 April: Harwich to Mistley = 16 miles. Thursday 16 April: Mistley to West Bergholt = c.16 miles. Friday 17 April: West Bergholt to Great Waltham = 30 miles. Saturday 18 April: Gt Waltham to Epping = 23.5 miles. Sunday 19 April: Epping to Upminster = c.14 miles (Three Forests Way) finish at the Forest Centre, Pike Lane.
