Brighton Half Marathon: Possability People
My name is Chris Lowe and I am a concert promoter at One Inch Badge. A few years ago now I lost a childhood friend who took his own life, this came as a huge shock to me and to everyone who knew him. I took up running as a way of processing my grief. At the time I smoked and drank too much and hated my job. Running was the thing that got me away from it all, it was my outlet. I then quit everything and changed my lifestyle to become a healthier and happier person. I can’t live without it now. This will be my 5th Brighton Half Marathon, I have done several others across the UK and Ran the London Marathon in 2013 for MIND UK in memory of my friend, raising nearly £3,000. I was asked by the amazing people at Possability People to run on behalf of their charity, I have strong connections with them as my partner Katharine has worked for the organisation for the last 10 years. In this time I have looked from the outside in on the work they do and the positive impact they have for disabled people and their families. The work they do is inspiring. It is a privilege to be asked to run and raise awareness on their behalf. Now I need to go out for a run and say hi to my friend wherever he is now, I also have a PB to beat :)
Good luck! Ewa
