This year, I am running the slightly different Great North Run which starts and ends in Newcastle! I'm raising money for the wonderful NIWE Eating Distress Service who have continued providing a much needed service during the pandemic. The amount of people struggling with eating distress has been on the increase for many years but especially in the last 18 months and local services like NIWE are very important. NIWE offer counselling; support groups; training and so much more to both people struggling and also to their family and carers.
Last year, I ran the Great North Run Solo for NIIWE and this year it will be the first time I have the experience of running with other runners which I hope will motivate me along :)
