Risden Wood Cycling Challenge

After the sad passing of our family member Greg Burton last year, we have committed to raise money for Streets 2 Homes. This charity was a huge support to Greg when he needed help. In memory of Greg we have spent the last year raising money through events, football matches and now through our charity cycle challenge.

This challenge will incorporate 200 miles of cycling across various sportive challenges. The first event will be a team of us riding from Harlow to Clacton on Saturday 22nd July. This is symbolic as Greg grew up and lived in Harlow before moving closer to his family in Clacton in his final years. This ride is 65 miles from Harlow to Clacton Pier where we hope to have plenty of support at the finish line.

Our final challenge will see us take on the iconic London to Brighton 55 mile ride in September. This is a challenging route and incorporates the infamous 'Green Wall' Ditchling Beacon climb.

Between these two challenges there are a further 80 miles to complete, which we will be looking to do in August. We have left this open for the time being as we thought we would get suggestions from those of you that are kind enough to sponsor us. Please be kind 🙏
