I decided to walk the equivalent of the 75 miles from Oban to Crieff at the rate of 3 miles per day which is an achievable level and may inspire others to do something similar. £500 will cover the costs of putting one person through the Healthy Options program.
Starting on 30 November, by Sunday 6 December I had done 26 miles, which was the equivalent of reaching Dalmally and was really enjoying myself! The weather was good and I always met someone to talk to. I walked to Ganavan, Dunollie woods or up to the mast.
The following week I reached 'Lix Toll' or 52 miles, and the walking was getting a little harder! But it was good to get out everyday, even though I got quite wet once or twice. Again meeting people and having a chat was an added bonus.
I had a day off yesterday because the weather was horrible but today, Tuesday 22 December, after walking to Dunollie castle and back I reached my target, 75 miles.
Its great to have finished but I dont think I will stop walking!
Today I completed the first 25 miles! What a wonderful day it was too.

About Walking to Crieff for Christmas
I will be walking on average an extra 3 miles every day in order to accumulate the equivalent of the mileage on the main road from Oban to Crieff.
