Road to Aberdovey for Up & Downs

Two years ago my niece Olivia Cutler more affectionately known as Dotty was born, four weeks early and with Down's syndrome. Dotty's Down's syndrome diagnosis has bought its share of challenges to both Dotty and her parents. Shortly after her arrival, they were lucky to come in to contact with a small charitable organisation called Up and Downs who have become invaluable to them. The charity offers great support, guidance and friendship to families of children with Down's. The charity has recently found premises where they are able to extend their services to include Makaton signing courses, speech and language therapy sessions, messy play and sensory activities. In addition to this, the group hold a monthly weekend session where families can meet and take part in a range of fun sessions. Up and Downs is entirely reliant on charitable donations, with this in mind I and a group of friends are taking part in a bike ride from Wolverhampton to Aberdovey on the 16th June 2017. The distance is 105 miles and the route is not an easy one, the ride will be a physical challenge for us but more importantly it provides me with a great opportunity to raise money for a worthwhile charity that will help Dotty and those who use the group to continue to do so. This is the first time I have signed up to do anything like this so as far as fund raising is concerned I have set a goal of raising £1000, this would mean so much to the group and allow them to offer much more to many more. 100% of donations will go to Up and Downs, I hope you will help me achieve my goal!
