Running 5k for the Money A+E Community Fund!

Hi, my name is Suzy and I will be fundraising for Money A+E's Community Fund by running 5km in the Walk/Run 2020 at West Ham Park on Saturday 28 March, 11am-1pm. #MAEWalkRun
 
I am fundraising for this cause because through working with Money A+E, I have seen the amazing effect they have on individuals' lives. They help people to move from the fear, isolation and depression caused by being in problem debt, to a place of financial and personal wellbeing and confidence. Through following their example I am also taking control of money in my own life.
 
The Money A+E Community Fund helps to fight debt and poverty for thousands of Londoners. But so many more need its help, and anything you can spare will make a real difference.

With household budgets squeezed by insecure and poorly paid employment, benefit cuts and high housing costs, an estimated 9 million UK adults are currently borrowing money to buy food or pay their bills. This shocking figure means people in our communities struggling to feed their families, to heat their homes and to keep the bailiff from the door.

Your support will provide:

• Help for those facing severe hardship – via small grants for emergency gas or electric payments, general household costs or court and insolvency fees.
• Life-changing money skills – delivered through Money A+E’s financial education workshops, which target young people and adults in disadvantaged communities.
• Volunteers – Money A+E’s services have helped 1000s of people to find solutions to their money problems through friendly, compassionate advice and education. This wouldn’t be possible without the vital support of volunteers.
