Running 69 miles to raise mental health awareness
Approximately 1 in 5 adults in the West Midlands live with mental ill health. You can say almost without doubt that somebody you know may be experiencing this. Life can be cruel. Some days we cope. Others we don't. And some days it seems that life is falling apart around us. Some may have lived with their struggles for so long that they've forgotten what relief or joy felt like, or remember a life before anxiety, pain or sadness. I want those reading this to know that it's ok not to feel ok – you're not alone.
To raise awareness of mental ill health, i'm running a 69-miles for Dudley Mind, a West Midlands-based charity who do some fantastic work. If you would like to donate it would be going to a very worthy cause.
If I reach my target of £1000, i'll donate £100 myself. On top of this, if I finish the race inside 12 hours, i'll add an extra £50 to the total.
Thanks for your time and your donations.
Well done love Nan and Grandad
You guys smashed the £1000 target! It's only right I do my part and round our total up to £2500. Thank you so much to everyone who donated. It's been truly unforgettable!
