My Name is Emma and I work for Swan Womens Centre I'm also a Sefton Headway community member, the place to be for all awesome humans with brain injuries. Yes; I have a brain injury and it's a challenge but the combination of having an excellent supportive employer and a regular check in place with Sefton Headway, helps me to fulfill my potential and focus on positivity. That's why I have decided to put on this event on Saturday 22nd September 2018 (11am - 1pm) I had brain surgery on 2012 to remove a really annoying brain tumour. That's why my brain is now a bit squished. Crosby waterfront contributed to my recovery as it was my place of peace, energy and activity. I would lash on my headphones and strut to songs that helped my memory and lifted my mood. I would love it all my friends, family, colleagues and people who use both services could take part and contribute to an awesome day. I appreciate that Burbo to Crosby Lakeside could be a full on hike, and may not be possible for everyone; so you can pick your own distance along that journey. I've made sure that the journey will be accessible for most wheelchairs/scooters and mapped out alternate routes for folks to take just in case. I would love to see you there, it will be a full on laugh! Emma *Both charities have committed and agreed to sharing these funds 50/50 when the sponsorship closes on 22/07/2018 - online donations will go through Swan Womens Centre's Local Giving page
