SarahLiz's Eden Sleep Out for the Homeless
On the 7 November 2019 I will be swapping my bed to sleep outside all night on a cardboard mat at the Eden Project. As I hate being cold and am a very light sleeper this will not be as easy as it sounds for me! I am doing this to help raise awareness about homelessness and hopefully raise some money for the St Petroc's Society who help provide services for homeless people between 16-65 years in Cornwall.
I've done all sorts of fundraising for different charities over the years - a half marathan, the Ten Tors and New Year's day swim. However the charities closest to my heart are the Cornwall Samaraitans who I am a fundraising volunteer with and St Petrocs for the homeless in Cornwall.
Anything you could donate would be very appreciated and help so many of the very genuine homeless people out there who were just like you or me once.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about my fundraising.
Sarah, slightly delayed but well done this is a fab cause. mel
Well done Ian and Rebecca
So proud! Such an amazing thing to do for an amazing charity! Lots of love Melissa and Nathan xxx
What an emotional night sleeping outside on the coldest day of the year so far. This is an experience I would never want to do again and made me realise how lucky I am.

About Eden Sleep Out
I will be swapping my bed to sleep outside on a cardboard mat at the Eden Project. The Sleep Out doesn't aim to replicate homelessness, but it does show you some of the realities - the cold, the damp, the noise and the difficulty of carrying on your day with little sleep. The event helps raise awareness of homelessness but also raises valuable funding and support for grassroot organisations and I would like to fundraise for the St Petroc's Society who provide a diverse range of services for the single homeless in Cornwall. These services are provided to people aged 16-65 years.
