Matt, Annabel and James will be taking on the Hackney Half to raise money for Keen London.
KEEN London is a charity which provides free weekly one-to-one support and sports activities for children with additional needs. Each athlete is paired with a trained volunteer coach for dedicated support. Additionally, KEEN organises a range of trips for the children and takes them on twice yearly residential trips. For many, the massive achievement is being away from home for the first time as well as building their confidence to try a range of new experiences.
Over 100 families across London are members of the KEEN family and the waiting list for places continues to grow. The service is free, so fundraising is critical to keep the amazing work going. Despite the challenges of the pandemic KEEN adapted with a range of awesome initiatives for all its athletes from virtual weekly sessions, zoom talent shows, digi-pals and bubble buddies park outings and heaps more!
