Ainsley is Sleeping Out for Nugent

Hi Everyone,  On Friday 4th March 2022 I am organising and taking part in a Sleep Out for Nugent, sponsored by Krol Corlett Construction. No matter what the weather, sunshine or snow, I will be sleeping outdoors at The Strawberry Field, which is the iconic site where John Lennon used to play as a child and was home to the most vulnerable children.

With London and the North West being the highest numbers of deaths in 2019, the suicide rate continues to increase.Homelessness is a real and growing social issue on the streets of Liverpool. People sleeping rough in England has more than doubled in recent years, so we’re raising funds to help those who need our support.

Nugent is working in collaboration with the Salvation Army who will also be raising funds for Strawberry Field. The iconic site provides sustainable employment opportunities for young people with learning difficulties. For nearly 70 years, it gave some of Liverpool’s most vulnerable children a refuge from turmoil and unhappiness – a safe, calm and spiritual home.

By taking part in Sleep Out with Nugent, you will help to raise money for our New Beginnings service, a partnership with Liverpool Mutual Homes which aims to provide good quality temporary accommodation for individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and have support needs.

The funds raised will provide support packages for those who have been suffering from homelessness when transitioning into their accommodation. It will provide the basic essentials such as pots, pans and towels, items which we often take for granted.
