Sophie's 5k for 20 days (100k in total)

Hello everyone,
 
 I really hope you are coping okay in lockdown. I just wanted to let you know that...
 
 I am walking 100k for the organisation Bristol Refugee Rights and starting this Monday.
 
 At the moment this feels like a big challenge to me because of my own journey, like so many of us I have been finding lock down a challenge. It's been a trying time here, for so, so many reasons. These issues have had significant impact on my friends and family. I hope this will take the strain off of the people closest too me and everyone who has been there. I see this as support for them as well as my chosen cause. I don't want this for them.  I know exercise makes me feel better and I hope this will make everyone else feel better when I do. 
 
 It's difficult for me to choose a cause, there are so many deserving option’s.. I am aware that volunteering with BRR did help me build on my skills and confidence and opened my eyes to see just how much support is needed, amongst refugee groups and in society in general.  
 
 I am going to ask BRR  to put it towards their Pride Without Borders Campaign, which provides 'vital services for LGBTQ+ Refugees and Asylum Seekers facing a culture of disbelief, destitution and homelessness during Covid-19 & beyond.'.I have witnessed first hand what people are going through when I volunteered and it certainly put things in perspective for me. They’re currently trying to raise money for this project.
 
 
Please support me, but only if you are able to, by sponsoring my walk, or by cheering me on, I’d really appreciate it! I sometimes get a thing going on with my ankle, if this happens i'll switch to bike and go a slightly longer distance - i'll update you if it does.
I've put £300  as a target - whatever you decide to give is fine, or if you do at all. But a huge thank you if you do.
