Composers’ Blue Plaque Sponsored Walk

I am raising money for 2 causes:
Apollo Music Projects - This is a wonderful local charity that brings live classical music to children who might not otherwise experience it. My own children Arlo and Romily have been lucky to benefit from performances and workshops Apollo Music have provided at their excellent, but cash strapped primary school. Any way of getting creative and stimulating arts exposure and enrichment into schools is surely worth supporting, and Apollo do a great job.

The Angel Orchestra - This is the local amateur orchestra I have been playing the cello with since 2004 (on and off - around child rearing!). They are a wonderful, supportive group doing their bit to keep grass roots classical music alive. Due to the pandemic we have not been able to perform regularly limiting the funds on which the orchestra depends.

We will be walking on Sunday 25th September between several sites in central London, each with a blue plaque commemorating a famous composer or musician, ranging from Mozart and Handel to Jimi Hendrix and John Lennon.
