Steph & Karls's Half Marathon Santa Run

We have decided to take on the challenge of a Half Marathon as part of the Stanwick Lakes Santa Run on 26th November. (yes we will be wearing Santa hats!) & while those who know us know we have been involved in running challenges before a Half Marathon is definitely a new one for us! & this time we will be taking the opportunity to raise funds for an amazing charity who work together to give children in Harborough District the best possible start in life, Home Start South Leicestershire. About the Charity & what they do... To Home-Start South Leicestershire every family is special and we respond to each family's needs through a combination of high quality services - from home-visiting support, group work, courses, and counselling. We have a large team of dedicated, well trained volunteers supporting our projects to offer informal, non-judgemental, friendly and confidential support. We uphold a core ethos of one parent helping another - proven as an effective and well-received method of supporting families. Through our projects and by working creatively together with local voluntary and statutory partners we bring real and lasting positive change to the lives of local children and families. Our help reduces isolation, improves mental health, keeps children safe, alleviates family stress, connects families with their communities and community resources, and equips parents with the tools to be the parents they want to be and the parents their children need them to be.
