A walk to support all communities in Suffolk
I am doing a challenging walk from Vila Nova de Milfontes to Carrapateira (the bulk of the ROTA VICENTINA) in Portugal, some 100kms. I start out on Sunday 20 November, finishing on Friday 25 November. I am trying to raise some funds to help develop the work of the Bangladeshi Support Centre, as they now wish to extend their support and help to ALL communities throughout Suffolk, particularly isolated ethnic minorities. I am using my Community Interest Company as a conduit in this small fundraiser, and as we have recently helped the charity with their evaluation and an application to the Big Lottery Fund. Of course, I have paid for my travel to Portugal, and all accommodation and other costs. Therefore, all funds raised will go towards the charity: http://www.bscentre.org.uk My walk is also hoping to raise funds for subsidising psychotherapy sessions for people who can't afford them - but badly need this type of life-changing help and interventions. Well done. Keep up the good work. Mahbub Alam (Bangladeshi Support Centre Treasurer)
Enjoy! (Well some of it, anyway!)
