Project Sauerkraut and Denim Repair

Hi!

As some of you know I’m quite nomadic, however, I find myself moving to Frome, Somerset! Which for me is a huge lifestyle change. With this choice of being in one place for the foreseeable future I hope to raise money to support a start-up community textile repairs service. The idea is to create a service for people to get their denim and vintage clothing repaired. 5% of landfill are textiles and so hopefully with this project we’ll mitigate some of that ‘waste’ in the spirit of up-cycling and bringing value back into the repair ethos.

I love fermenting veg and have made some yummy crispy kraut to sell as part of the fundraiser. Ginger, beets, garlic, turmeric, white and red cabbage..So if you're local and have donated I can give you a jar. All profits go to the repairs project. Min asking is £6 per jar.

I will be joining Edventure (www.edventurefrome.org) as a student starting end of January 2022, and will learn new skills with like minded individuals who wish to serve the community in a helpful way. We will figure out together how to create this social enterprise. In that spirit if you wish to contribute any sum, we would most welcome any contribution as this will give us something to cut with ! 

…hopefully going through this course I hope to start-up a potential micro business around Wild Fermentation and Connecting to Nature…!
