The Sleepout is an annual event at Eden that supports two local homeless Charities, St Petrocs and the Amber Foundation. For one night people are asked to pledge and fundraise by sleeping under the stars and maybe have a very small taste of what some people are forced to do on a long term basis. Both foundations work with the homeless and their needs but importantly play a big part is helping people get back on their feet and into safe accommodation.
This year obviously has to be very different so it will be a virtual event and a little different in format. More details are on the Eden page link. Being immune suppressed I have to be careful what I can do, but I'm pledging to sleep in our conservatory so I can be 'under the stars'
If you could spare anything at all, however small, I would be hugely grateful. I'm furloughed on Friday, so will be catching up on sleep then.
