Year 4 Easter Sponsored 5K Walk

• Starfish Malawi - including the Water project taken on by Year 2 and Year 3 to raise money for reusable water bottles to send out to our link school in Malawi with a message from St John’s inside
• 'Raise the Roof' and waterproof  'The Glade' outdoor community stage

Our school is a link partner of this amazing charity whose main areas of work in Malawi are based in the districts of Salima & Kasungu (Central Malawi) and the capital - Lilongwe.  Their 12 projects fit into four key areas of development, we have identified as main contributors in lifting communities out of extreme poverty: Christian Teaching, Education, Health and Community Development.
We are raising funds to support children in Malawi especially through the Water project taken on by Year 2 and Year 3 to raise money for reusable water bottles to send out to our link school in Malawi

'Raise the Roof' and waterproof  'The Glade' outdoor community stage: In 2021 we raised enough funding for our amazing volunteers to create 'The Glade'. Last year our children enjoyed experiences of performing in this wonderful space and we also hosted 'DorkFest' - Dorking's very own music Festival, raising over £1500.00 for local children's mental health projects! The Glade operates for up to 6 months of the year and this year we need to 'Raise the Roof' and waterproof the stage. You funding will help us to achieve this so that even more children and community partners can perform in the wonderful setting.
