Captain Tom 100 Challenge - 100 Books in 1 Weekend

Our family is taking part in the Captain Tom 100 Challenge and aiming to read 100 books in one weekend (April 30 - May 2.) We are raising money for the Walthamstow Toy Library. The Toy Library is a small local charity which supports families with children under 5. It runs amazing play sessions, promotes toy loaning which is environmentally friendly and supports low income families in the community. We started attending play sessions when Theo was a baby and I became a trustee last year. Like all charities during the pandemic, the Toy Library's income has been affected by Covid. A small amount can make a huge difference to the Toy Library and the families that can benefit from your generosity:

• £100 provides free annual membership for 10 low income families
• £30 enables us to run an hour of feeding support for new parents
• £10 could provide messy play material for one of our play sessions
• £5 could provide a specially designed craft pack for a child
