We are team MASH (Leanne, Janelle & Isabel) We're getting together to raise funds for MASH. We need as many individual donations as possible to help win £1,000 for MASH in the Local Heroes competition!
We are all taking part in running events so please support us. Any amount, no matter how small will help push us up the Local Heroes leader board.
MASH supports women in Manchester who are sex working on the streets. As a volunteer, Janelle has met and worked with hundreds of these women. They are so often attacked, living on the streets with nothing but what they're standing up in, experiencing mental illness, addictions, stigmatisation and more. These are our sisters and MASH supports them, keeps them safe and empowers them to make decisions which can change their lives for the better.
Several times women have told Janelle that they would be 'dead without MASH'.
They're also so much more than sex workers. They are funny, talented, passionate, resilient women who are trying to survive just like we all are.
