Over £23,000 raised on Local Charities Day

To celebrate Local Charities Day, we matched 1,000 x £5 donations made to local charities on Friday the 16th December. Funding for the campaign was provided by the Office for Civil Society in conjunction with a philanthropist.

We're happy to announce that over £23,000 was raised, benefitting 200 local charities and community groups on the day. Thank you to everyone who donated - please check your emails for a notification from us as to whether your donation(s) were matched.

Did you know that small charities make up 97% of the UK's voluntary sector - the vast majority of which operate on a local level - but only 20% of the sector's total income goes to support these organisations?

We believe that together we can make a change.

In 2015, our #GiveMe5 campaigns raised over £95,000 for local charities and community groups across the country.

Help us spread the word using the hashtag #GiveMe5 to become part of a movement to help raise awareness of the hundreds of thousands of vital, yet underrepresented local charities in the UK.

Thank you!
