The Baby Bank Network redistributes pre-loved baby items to families in need in Bristol
The Baby Bank Network redistributes baby items like clothes, slings and cots that have been used and loved by parents, but are no longer needed, to parents who cannot afford to buy these items new or second hand. Reusing items saves money and is environmentally friendly.
Why the community needs usBaby Bank Network's aim is to relieve poverty in the Bristol area by providing good quality new and pre-owned baby items to families in need, working closely with agencies such as health visitors and children's centres. As well as an improved living environment, these measures will reduce the financial burden on the families, leading to a subsequent improvement in their mental well-being and an increased ability to focus on other aspects of home life.
Our impact on the communityWe have already helped more than 100 families in Bristol and are supporting other cities to launch their own local Baby Bank. We recently received this touching feedback from one of our referral partners: "I was absolutely amazed at the quality, quantity and range of baby goods provided. I know that Baby Bank has made an immense difference to the mum, to her pregnancy and the arrival of her baby girl."
We are a charity that aims to ensure that every baby has the basic necessities when starting their life. We are completely volunteer led and need more help. Please contact us if you would like to help.
