Resolven Miners Welfare was built using money taken from the pay packets of local miners. The building has served the community for nearly 100 years but is now sadly on the verge of closure. Please help us raise the funds that are desperately needed for vital repair work. If we don't raise money now we will loose this incredible building which is part of the identity of the village. Please help us ensure this iconic building is preserved for future generations.

Over the last century this building has played a vital part in community life, and still does. Quite simply, if we are unable to undertake the vital repair works needed, like may other community buildings, it will rot. The community groups that use it will be homeless and the laughter and joy that has echoed round its walls, for nearly 100 years, will become a distant memory. Please give anything that you can to help us save this building which our ancestors worked so hard for!

If we reach our target we will not only be able to keep the building open but could improve and develop its facilities to meet the changing needs of our modern village. With such a large building the possibilities are endless! Many local people would like to see the theatre re-opened, a cafe added or a safe space for young people to hang out.
