Sensory Room for MAPS

A project by THE RESOURCES IN COMMUNITY TRUST

The Room will include lights, colours, sounds, sensory soft play objects, and aromas. It can improve balance, movement, spatial orientation and promotes a positive emotional wellbeing through a safe and therapeutic environment. This room will be accessible and highly beneficial to all children across the school and will allow for a particular sensory focus where this particularlysupports children with additional needs to succeed.

Why they need our service

A sensory room is a specially designed room that combines a range of stimuli to help children develop and engage their senses. Sensory rooms have shown to increase concentration and focus as well as providing a relaxing and calming environment, something which all of our children at MAPS would definitely benefit from!
