The Covid-19 pandemic is a challenging time for everyone. The One Slough community response priority is to support vulnerable residents who are not able to get support from family or friends help the most vulnerable in Slough with food and essential items. Slough Borough Council and Slough CVS have brought together key local partners and organisations so that we have a coordinated effort across our borough to organise volunteers and those who need help. This includes our local NHS partners, Windsor Forest Colleges Group, faith groups, local charities including Slough Foodbank, Slough Community Transport and Shelter are working alongside council officers to ensure our most vulnerable are looked after. We have linked up with many more local organisations and groups so that we can build on the fantastic work already being done across the borough.
Why the community needs us It is important that all our efforts to help those in need are organised through a collaborative approach that we can act in line with a spread prevention approach. Please give what you can during this unsettling time so we can support those who are in need. 100 per cent of the money donated will go to the charities and organisations supporting the COVID-19 volunteer response.
