‘Alongside You’ is a charity that works with families impacted by a HIV diagnosis in East London. Every six weeks ‘Alongside You’ takes children aged between 4 and 17 years old on fun filled activity days. They take approximately 43 children on special outings in the school holidays and no outing is ever the same! These outings are expensive to run BUT memorable for the children.
The month of April is a very special month for ‘Alongside You’ as they celebrate their most exhilarating campaign of the year called ‘Local Hero.’
To support a special friend who supports 'Alongside You, ' Bethan, Natalie, Lydia and I have joined forces to participate in the 'Local Hero' campaign to support this charity who is making a difference to young children's lives. As four teachers, we all know how these experiences enrich a child's life and we all feel that EVERY child deserves the best life experiences possible.
On 8 April 2019 we will put on our best walking shoes and walk a half marathon (13miles/21kms) to raise as much money as we can to support this special campaign.
