About the appeal

Santa Stork is our annual Christmas giving campaign where the community comes together to ensure gifts are given and memories are made for local children in need.

We provide gifts for those who really need a helping hand at this difficult time of year.
Unlike our regular donations, these gifts are new and in some cases will be the main or only present they’ll receive this Christmas. Our aim is to ensure we have enough funds to buy presents for ever child and parent/carer referred to us this Christmas.

We believe there are three things that make Santa Stork unique: Choice, Dignity and Care.

Choice: our catalogue of gifts means that parents can choose the gift that their child will really like, something which reflects their child’s unique personality and interests rather than whatever happens to have been donated. We’re told that for many of the families referred to us, the gift from Santa Stork will be the only or main gift the child receives so we want it to be something that they will really love.
Dignity: we include a roll of wrapping paper, tape and gift tags so that parents/carers can wrap the gifts for their children.
Care: there are lots of thoughtful details that go into Santa Stork – the sticky labels on each of the gift bags peel off cleanly so that families can remove all traces of Stripey Stork’s admin and give the gift from the big man himself. We consider the ongoing cost of the gift – if it needs batteries, we provide them; every football comes with a pump so that it can be re-inflated and art sets come with a sketch pad. We also like to include a wrapped gift for the parents/carers so that everyone has something to open on Christmas Day.

All funds donated via this page will be used for the Santa Stork 2023 campaign to help us in our mission to ensure that every local child has a present to open on Christmas Day. In the event that there are funds remaining after Christmas 2023 they will be put towards our work supporting local families in 2024.
