To inspire young people to learn about themselves and others and build great lives by providing a dynamic Youth Centre that listens to Young People from across the City and works with them to provide space, training, activities, support and services that are relevant and accessible and enable creativity, learning, fun, friendship and relaxation
Why the community needs usCurrently the centre is a hub of activity aimed at all Young People in the 8 - 19 age group offering activities including skateboarding, youth club, 5 a side football, basketball, music production, cookery, archery, table tennis and dance sessions. The centre has a mix of paid and volunteer staff and accommodates many other projects who work with a wide range Young People including Young People with disabilities, lgbt, young carers, young offenders, young parents and homeless young people.
Our impact on the communityBYC provides a vital space for Young People to explore new activities and experiences, learn new skills, build confidence, have fun and make friendships. The Youth Club offers consistency and support that allows Young People to explore their interests and identity with help and encouragement from skilled and caring adults.
We recruit volunteers for Youth Work twice a year. We are in urgent need of website support, admin and fundraising help please contact the office for details and ask for Mike Roe
