The Special Enabling Fund

We need to bridge the gap between what our beneficiaries can afford and the cost of our service. On average this amounts to £250,000 per year. The Special Enabling Fund has been created to address this need and the monies donated will be used to finance those costs not covered by fee income and vitally, help secure our future.

Why they need our service

The link between disability and poverty is well established. Most of our beneficiaries are not only disabled but also come from impoverished backgrounds. They are unable to afford much beyong the basic necessities of life. We are keen to ensure that as many of these people as possible are able to benefit form our service.

Plan and expected results

We want people with disabilities to realise their full potential and increase their self-confidence. Our experience shows us that by introducing our visitors to outdoor activities in a safe, managed environment their confidence to tackle life's problems as a whole is boosted. It is an experience that delivers new skills, greater self-esteem and a route to greater independence. Over 5,000 guests benefit from our service each year.
