Neutral support for those experiencing crisis during pregnancy or following pregnancy loss
We aim to support pregnant women and families whatever the need! We believe pregnancy can be a difficult time and made worse by people with an agenda. So we exist to provide unbiased information, emotional support, confidentiality, even donated baby clothes/equipment. We do chlamydia screening, pregnancy testing, professional counselling, short term groupwork, schools/college training and full support after any loss.
Why the community needs usCharley was only 17 years old when she fell pregnant. Her boyfriend was pressuring her to have an abortion and her Dad had only died 2 years previously, so her Mum was still grieving and Charley didn't want to add to her pain and stress. She was very alone and desperately in the need of advice and friendship. She was helped through the maze of questions she had and went on to have a beautiful baby girl. We are the only charity in the area that offers this service, please help us continue to.
Our impact on the communitySince we opened in May 2007 we have helped over 280 people. Evaluations show all have been helped. For some it has been a listening ear; others have received baby clothes cots, prams etc.; others have moved forward after a pregnancy loss.
