Sports Pavilion Refurbishment

A project by Staithes Sports Association

The sports association aims to raise the money via three streams; donations from individuals or businesses, fund raising events and also grants. In order to secure any grants the association must raise its share of the costs towards the project and so in this respect we are relying on donations via just giving to help with our project.

Why they need our service

The current changing facilities in the village need modernising as they do not meet the statutory requirements of the FA Charter Standard scheme and the ECB cricket standards. It is essential these facilities are modernised in order to ensure that the sports teams within the village can continue to participate in their current leagues as well as attract more participants to play sports in the village.

Plan and expected results

The current facilities have no separate changing space for female participants, be this players or officials. There is also no disabled access and there is limited shared showering facilities. Refurbishment and expansion of the current pavilion will be from two to four changing spaces, each with their own toilet and showering facilities. On completion, we hope to attract a wider demographic and encourage a greater participation in sports among all ages and genders and attract new clubs.
