The girl that Ubers everywhere has decided to run!
Those of you that know me well know I don’t walk anywhere, let alone run, but I have decided to take on this years Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money for a very special charity to us as well as try and raise awareness.
SPACE is a Hertfordshire based charity supporting families of children who are neurodivergent.
18 months ago, when Jack was first referred to as neurodivergent, we as parents felt lost.
It is an area of care that is still hugely under funded and lacking in support and I know many parents fight so hard for their children to receive the correct support.
For us as parents, SPACE have been invaluable in helping us navigate this new chapter and have provided us with support in helping Jack, providing days out in an environment where the children feel comfortable as well as providing educational courses to help us best understand and allow us to increase our knowledge on how to best assist Jack and help him grow.
So I am doing something I never imagined myself doing. Firstly to raise funds for an incredible charity but also for Jack. To show him that anything is possible no matter who you are.
